Project Summary

Due to their merge, Copa Airlines and Continental Airlines saw the need to improve their service facilities for VIP clients through a building that fulfills the function of waiting room and private rest with all the commodities of a VIP lounge for its passengers in transit. The architectural design considered keeping the exterior of the building with the facades equal to the existing in the Tocumen International Airport, therefore it was necessary the construction of facades of tempered glass, plastered mesh and blocks to simulate the sections of the existing façade. The interior decoration was based on the corporate image of those companies in other similar places worldwide. Wooden walls, business areas, meetings and rest both for adults and for children. The architect for this project was a Houston based firm: Brown, Penland and McGregor.
